Summer STEAM Experience

In this Section

All Campers will receive:

24 hours of instruction/lab time in UW-Stout classrooms or labs
Instruction by UW-Stout faculty
Camp t-shirt
10 to 1 camper to counselor ratio

$495.00 overnight camper registration fee includes:

Staying in one of UW-Stout's campus dormitories.
All meals on campus
'College life' experiences
Nightly camp activities include video and board games, UW-Stout Challenge course, crafts, movies, and more.

$ 345.00 day camper registration fee includes:

Sunday afternoon activities
Monday to Thursday cafeteria lunches
Day camper drop off is 8:30 AM and pick up is 4:00 PM

Refunds and Attendee Substitutions Policy

Refunds:

Week 1 June 9-13:
All cancellation notices must be received in writing (email is acceptable). A full refund will be granted through May 31, 2024. Cancellations on or after June 1 and through June 7, 2024, will be granted less a $30.00 processing fee. No refunds will be made on or after June 8. Substitutions may be made any time prior to the start of the program.

Week 2 June 23-27:
All cancellation notices must be received in writing (email is acceptable). A full refund will be granted through June 7, 2024. Cancellations on or after June 8 and through June 14, 2024, will be granted less a $30.00 processing fee. No refunds will be made on or after June 15. Substitutions may be made any time prior to the start of the program.

Week 2 July 14-18:
All cancellation notices must be received in writing (email is acceptable). A full refund will be granted through July 5, 2024. Cancellations on or after July 6 and through July 12, 2024, will be granted less a $30.00 processing fee. No refunds will be made on or after July 13. Substitutions may be made any time prior to the start of the program.

Program changes and cancellations:
The university reserves the right to make changes in programs and activities or to cancel programs if enrollment criteria are not met or when conditions beyond its control prevail. Every effort will be made to contact each attendee if a program is not held for any reason. The university's liability is limited to the refund of the program fee.

Scholarships are available through the generosity of the following school districts:

Chippewa Falls Unified School District
There is a limited number of full scholarships available for campers who live in the Chippewa Falls Unified School District or attend a CFUSD school. 

School District of Menomonie Area
Campers can register as day campers at no cost. The overnight camper fee is $150 for the full camp experience. Students must live within the School District of Menomonie Area to qualify. 

Additional Scholarships:

Other STEAM sponsors make it possible to cover the fees of additional campers.  If you are interested in applying for these scholarships please fill out this brief survey asking you to explain why you would like to attend camp and what that experience would mean.  Scholarship recipients will be notified via email when funding is secured. 

Grantsburg School District
Two individuals who attend the Grantsburg School District qualify for the Parker scholarship which covers the full cost of admission.
