Students complete a range of Graphic Design projects from introductory to advanced levels, with many of the projects involving group development and discourse that is well supported by the lab environment.
"The shared space allows for feedback from both the instructor and fellow students," said Sam Tanberg, a junior in Animation and Digital Media. "We learn about the elements of graphic design, as well as the principles of design, gestalt, and color theory."
Students practice how to put these elements together by making symbols and logos, mockups, and different types of advertisements. The lab has large group tables, cutting boards for trimming and mocking up projects, and large presentation walls for class critiques.
