Reading Academy
June 27-28, 2024 | Northcentral Technical College (Wausau, WI)
The University of Wisconsin Schools of Education, in collaboration with PK-12, CESA, and DPI partners, are excited to offer a Reading Academy for educators. Designed to provide professional learning supporting PK-12 educators, educator preparation instructors and students, and others in literacy instruction as outlined in WI Act 20.
Reading Academy Highlights
- Overview of DPI Act 20 Curriculum Crosswalk Toolkit and personal reading plan template
- Wisconsin’s literacy experts leading breakout sessions and facilitating team time
- Team work time throughout the event
- Networking with peers
We encourage teams of up to three (3) people from a school district or institution to attend. In addition, UW educator preparation students and May 2024 graduates in early childhood education, elementary education, and special education are invited to attend. A limited number of stipends will be available for these UW students and graduates.
