Learn how to start a company in a weekend.

February 25-27, 2022

Intensive three-day event: Friday 5-9pm | Saturday 9-9pm | Sunday 9-4pm

  • Bring your ideas, a team, or conjure up something after you start jamming with others!
  • Get your ideas out of the concept stage!
  • Learn Lean Start-Up methods used by WySys in their Wisconsin Big Idea Competition.
  • Build cross-campus and cross-disciplinary friendships between and among students AND faculty.
  • Conduct customer discovery and early market analysis (key elements that make or break a start-up’s success). 
  • Meet experienced mentors, facilitators, and investors who want to see your idea succeed.
  • Learn about start-up business creation even if you do not want to start a company.
  • Gain a toolkit to turn your ideas into reality.
  • Ideation Jammers have an opportunity to win cash prizes for creativity, prototyping, and pitching, and pivoting!
  • Opportunity to pitch on Sunday, 27 February for the Wisconsin Big Idea Tournament in Madison. This "pitch" will be open to other individuals and teams.
  • Attendees who pitch an idea have the option to win a place in the Wisconsin Big Idea Competition hosted by WiSys on April 19, 2022.

Meet expert mentors who will help you!

Pete Marsnik

Pete is a co-founder of Musky Tank, an Eau Claire based group dedicated to improving thPete Marsnike quality of entrepreneurs in the Chippewa Valley.  He also serves as Executive Director of the Chippewa Valley Angel Investors Network.  He has experience with high growth companies and startups. Currently he serves as CEO of Bioionix, Inc, a McFarland, Wisc company that sells electrochemical disinfection equipment into food producing companies worldwide. 

Pete lives in Eau Claire with his wife Patty, and they have two grown children living in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, and Kailahun, Sierra Leone. 

Danielle Campeau

Danielle is an entrepreneurship and innovation enthusiast. She has worked with the Small Business DevelDanielle Campeauopment Corporation and helped found the Center for Innovation & Business Development in River Falls, Wisconsin. She served as its director for 6 years.

From understanding technical details to developing high-level strategies, I'm passionate about implementing changes that make businesses stronger. My inter-disciplinary experiences in the sciences, innovation, entrepreneurship, business development and project management allow me to make decisions with a truly integrated purpose. With a focus on education, collaboration, change management and process improvement, I drive change to advance an organization's position. Currently pursuing a Doctoral degree in Business Administration focusing on entrepreneurship and innovation, aspiring to obtain an academic appointment.
