‘Fool Us’ performer bringing magic, comedy to campus March 21

Blue Devil Productions free show will feature Ben Seidman, a Las Vegas regular

A nationally recognized magician, who has performed on television and in Las Vegas, will present a free show at UW-Stout.

Ben Seidman takes the stage at 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, in the Great Hall of the Memorial Student Center, 302 10th Ave. E. Doors open at 7 p.m. The event is sponsored by Blue Devil Productions, a student-run events and activities organization.

Ben SeidmanHe blends comedy with his magic and is known for his sleight of hand, including card tricks and pick-pocket skills.

Seidman, 33, has appeared on TV on “Fool Us” with Penn & Teller. He also has been on “Magic Outlaws” on the Travel Channel, was the resident magician at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas for three years, was the headline performer at the Atlantis Resort & Casino in the Bahamas and has performed regularly at Harrah’s Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

Seidman, born in Milwaukee, attended UW-Eau Claire for three years as a theater major in the mid-2000s and performed magic shows as a student. He transferred to the University of Las Vegas for his final year of college. He returned to perform at UW-Eau Claire in 2016.

Blue Devil Productions also will feature Wisconsin comedian Charlie Berens, best-known as host of the “Manitowoc Minute,” Thursday, April 12. Tickets can be purchased online.
