Weekday Visits
Join us for an admissions overview and student-guided walking tour. You’ll learn about UW-Stout Polytechnic’s approach, academic programs, student life and admissions process, then explore campus with a current student.
Lunch tickets are provided for the student and one guest, with additional tickets available for purchase in Merle Price Commons. The Merle Price Commons cafeteria is open during fall and spring semesters and closed during summer and winter (January) terms.
Academic Program + Weekday Visits
Join us for a 3–4 hour academic-focused campus visit that includes the same admissions overview and student-guided walking tour offered during our weekday visits, plus an academic meeting or facility tour focused on your area of interest. You’ll learn about UW-Stout Polytechnic’s approach, academic programs, student life and admissions process, then explore campus with a current student.

Join us for a Campus Preview Day at UW-Stout Polytechnic, where prospective students can explore everything we have to offer in a single day. Undecided on a major? This event is the perfect opportunity to explore your options!
Agenda
- 8:30 a.m. Check-in & Campus Resource Fair: Explore a variety of resources from key campus departments, including Housing, Dining, and Financial Aid, all in one place.
- 9 a.m. Admissions Presentation: Learn about Stout's polytechnic approach, majors, involvement opportunities, and application process.
- 9:45 a.m. Student Panel: Get your questions answered during this Q&A style panel with current students.
- 10:15 a.m. Campus Tour: Take a student-led walking tour of Stout's beautiful campus.
- 11: 15 a.m. Academic Expo: Connect with faculty and learn more about our majors.
- Transfer Student Meeting (if applicable): Meet with a transfer counselor to talk through credits, transfer resources, and next steps.
- Optional Lunch: Lunch tickets are provided for the student and one guest. Additional tickets are available for purchase in Merle Price Commons.
- Optional Next Steps: Wrap up your day with personalized assistance—staff will be available to help you navigate your next steps in the enrollment process.

Admitted Student Days
Want to affirm your decision to attend UW-Stout Polytechnic? Attend our decision day specifically for admitted students. During our program you will dive a little deeper into what Stout is all about, so you can make your final college decision and complete your next steps toward enrollment. This program is designed to help you learn more about UW-Stout Polytechnic. Students are not able to register for classes during this program.
Save the Date: Additional events are planned for March 5 and April 9, 2027.
Agenda
- 8:30 a.m. Check-in: Upon arrival, you'll receive a welcome bag filled with important information, along with refreshments to get you started.
- 8:45 a.m. Welcome: We'll kick off the day with a warm welcome and review of what to expect for the day.
- 9:00 a.m. Schedule Splits: Students will be guided through engaging micro lessons on a variety of topics around campus. Meanwhile, parents and supporters will attend tailored sessions to help support their student's transition to college.
- 11:30 a.m. Lunch: Enjoy a complimentary lunch in the Merle Price Commons.
- 12:20 p.m. Schedule Splits: Students will participate in a hands-on academic activity centered around their area of interest, while parents and supporters are invited to take a student-led tour of campus.
- 1:20 p.m. Optional Next Step Support: We'll wrap up with optional one-on-one meetings for personalized support with any outstanding enrollment steps. During this time, explore our Campus Resource Fair, where you'll have the chance to connect with key departments such as Housing, Dining, and Financial Aid.

Group Visits to UW-Stout Polytechnic
Admissions Group Visits are designed for groups of 6+ students in grades 9-12 (ex: college access groups, organizations, clubs, or high school groups). We enjoy organizing information sessions and campus tours with prospective college students in mind. Note: If you plan to bring 5 students or less, please use our regular weekday scheduling process and register each student individually.
