Yang received his B.F.A. in Graphic Design at University of Wisconsin-Stout. Furthering his education, he enrolled in Stout’s M.F.A. program where he focused his studies on the history of traditional Hmong arts and design. Yang aims to explore the notion of what it means to be “Hmong American” using Hmong aesthetics in contemporary visual mediums.

Yang now conceptualizes designs to assist with Stout’s marketing with the Marketing Communications department. He integrates the campus brand into print designs that support UW-Stout’s mission and goals.
