Stepping outside your comfort zone, meeting new people, and forging your path can be so rewarding.

Eric Kuhn's passion for photography and videography began in high school. He learned to use software to manipulate his photos and produced a variety of print materials. He appreciated having the ability to express his creativity.
One of his instructors, a UW-Stout graduate, suggested Kuhn look into the Graphic Communications program at Stout. Kuhn was accepted into the program before even touring the campus.
"Who would have known that four years later this little, unknown community would change my life in such an unforgettable way?" Kuhn asked.
Kuhn found ways to impact his future, from networking and professional development opportunities to program get-togethers. His classmates quickly became family to him. He met students from different backgrounds, experiences and skill sets. He enjoyed the challenge of collaborating with his peers and understanding the diversity of their strengths.
He felt his teachers genuinely cared about his success. They became mentors who helped him discover the best version of himself.
"I wouldn't be where I am today without my classmates and instructors constantly pushing me to chase my dreams," Kuhn said.
