Survey seeks feedback from alumni on career satisfaction

University joins national effort to learn from 2010 and 2015 bachelor’s degree graduates
November 10, 2020

UW-Stout has partnered with the Career Leadership Collective, a higher education solutions group, and more than 50 other universities to conduct a national online survey of two groups of alumni.

The National Alumni Career Mobility Survey will collect career pathway data in November and December. The survey seeks career satisfaction feedback and insights from alumni who completed a bachelor’s degree in 2010 and 2015.

The data will be used to help institutions better understand the professional pathways of graduates and prepare future alumni for continued and improved career success.

The survey begins in November.

UW-Stout graduates from 2010 and 2015 can follow this link to take the survey.

UW-Stout graduated approximately 4,000 students those years.

“The goal is to gather information that will allow us to tell the deeper story of our alumni’s career success after UW-Stout,” said Bryan Barts, director of UW-Stout’s Career Services. “We hope to learn more about their career pathways, career and educational satisfaction and economic mobility, as well as engagement with their community.”

Along with Career Services, supporting the survey effort at UW-Stout will be the Alumni Association; Learning and Information Technology; and the Office of Planning, Assessment, Research and Quality.

The UW System is participating in the survey. “Our universities provide a tremendous value to our students, and we already know the significant earning power of a UW degree,” said UW System President Tommy Thompson. “This new survey will help us better understand how UW graduates transition into the workforce and civic life.”

The Career Leadership Collective provides advisory and data services to assist campuses in building capacity around career development effectiveness. The National Alumni Career Mobility Survey is the group’s signature survey.
