Service Opportunities for Your Student

Low-key ways to get involved in the community
September 27, 2022

Service is an important part of many students' lives. We work hard to create opportunities for your student to participate in volunteer opportunities near or on campus for students who may not have transportation to participate in volunteering off campus.

Here are some upcoming service opportunities your student can join:

Students helping with community fall clean up.
  • Monday, Oct. 10: The Investiture Celebration Week's Day of Service
    • Morning Service Project, 8 a.m. to noon: United Way, Bridge to Hope and Positive Alternatives are hosting local projects to serve Dunn County.
    • Afternoon Service Project, 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.: The Rotary Meal-Pack-A-Thon will be held in the Memorial Student Center ballrooms. Students will pack meals that will be distributed to local families in need.
  • Friday, Nov. 4: At the fall yard clean-up, students will be given supplies to help local folks who participate in the Meals-on-wheels program clean up their yards.

Several student organizations include service in their mission and frequently host service events.  Encourage your student to search CONNECT, our involvement app, and select "Service" as an event type.
