Yuxuan (they/she) is an assistant professor with a background in counseling psychology. Their research is grounded in an intersectionality framework, with a focus on the lived experiences, social connectedness, and well-being of minoritized populations—including people of color, individuals from lower socioeconomic backgrounds, and queer communities. Yuxuan also explores the integration of geek culture (e.g., tabletop and video games, movies, anime) into therapeutic practice. Clinically, they have primarily worked with adults and college students, with a strong commitment to supporting low-income individuals, immigrants, and first-generation college students.
