Interim Chancellor Patrick Guilfoile presents Barb Larrabee with the February University Staff Appreciation Award.

Larrabee’s nomination said: “Barb has shown her commitment to the university by consistently going over and above. Barb’s role is not only meeting the business and budget needs of our department, but it extends across the university to reach college business managers and others who request her expertise in the specific area of customized instruction. She is also responsible for any contracting and hiring we need to perform. She does it all. Barb has a great can-do and will-do attitude. She always has a smile on her face and, in addition to her knowledge, skills and abilities, her disposition when handling difficult situations makes her an integral part of our team.”

Larrabee said she is proud to be part of the university staff who “work hard every day to make a difference on campus.”

Interim Chancellor Patrick Guilfoile presents each winner with a certificate of recognition, a UW-Stout travel mug and a UW-Stout blanket.

Students, faculty and staff may nominate a university staff member who demonstrates a commitment to excellence and the university community.

The award, in its 14th year, was established by the Chancellor’s Office and is co-sponsored by the University Staff Senate.
