Payment Due Dates

Please note: due dates apply to all students regardless of when you register for a course or the start date of the course. A $75.00 late fee will be assessed to the student's University account if payment is not received by the due date.  Mailing post marks are not considered.

Online

Credit Card | Make a Payment »

  • 2.95% convenience fee for domestic cards, with a minimum charge of $3.00. Once the transaction has occurred, the convenience fee is non-refundable.
  • 4.25% convenience fee for International credit cards begins on 2/23/24 with a minimum charge of $4.00.  Once the transaction has occurred, the convenience fee is non-refundable.
  • Cards accepted: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, JCB, and American Express.

  • You will need the bank routing number (9 digits) and account number, which can be found on the bottom of one of your checks. DO NOT use the number from your debit card or from your deposit slip.
  • Use your regular accounts only. Examples of unaccepted accounts include corporate accounts, home equity, credit card checks, travelers' checks, and loans.

After Business Hours

For easy after-hours payments, you can access our drop box attached to the eastern outside wall of our building, located off of 712 Broadway Street S.

  • The drop box is accessible 24/7.
  • Checks, money orders, and cashiers' checks are accepted.
  • Do not drop off cash. Student Business Services is not responsible for cash payments in the drop box.
  • Please include the student's name, ID number, and a daytime phone number.
  • Payments will be applied the next business day.

To ensure accurate posting of your payment:

  • Please make checks payable to UW-Stout.
  • Include the student's full name and ID number.
  • Include a daytime phone number.
  • Payment must be received on or before due dates. Postmark dates are not considered.
  • DO NOT SEND CASH IN MAIL (Student Business Services is not responsible for cash payments by mail)
Flywire (International Students)

The University of Wisconsin-Stout has partnered with Flywire to streamline the tuition and fee payment process for international students.

Flywire offers multiple payment options and currencies. Students and payers will be able to track their payments from start to finish, save on bank fees and exchange rates and contact Flywire’s 24x7 multilingual customer support by chat, Skype, email, and telephone. UW-Stout and Flywire do not charge a fee for this service.

Basic payment process through Flywire:

1. GET STARTED
Select the payment amount (in US Dollars, minimum $50) that you wish to pay on your student bill and the country which funds will be coming.
2. SELECT PAYMENT METHOD:
Review the method you prefer to use: bank transfer (Please allow 6-8 business days) or credit card. 
3. ENTER YOUR DETAILS:
Enter some basic information to initiate your payment. You will need your student ID number.
4. MAKE YOUR PAYMENT:
Follow the instructions provided to send funds to Flywire via your selected method.
 (Please allow 6-8 business days for a bank transfer)
5. TRACK AND CONFIRM:
Receive email and text updates each step of the way, including a confirmation when your payment has been delivered.

 

PayMyTuition (International Students)

The University of Wisconsin-Stout has partnered with PayMyTuition to streamline the tuition and fee payment process for international students.  With PayMyTuition, you can pay your tuition from any bank, in any country in any currency at better than bank exchange rates. PayMyTuition is fast, simple, and cost effective.

Basic payment process through PayMyTuition:

1. ENTER YOUR INSTITUTION NAME
Go to paymytuition.com. From the top of the screen, click on Make a Payment. Select
University of Wisconsin Stout, then enter the country you are paying from and your payment amount.

2. SELECT PAYMENT METHOD
Review the payment options provided and select your preferred payment method. Payment options include bank transfers, debit/credit cards in your home currency, eWallet payments and other local options.

3. ENTER YOUR DETAILS
Enter some basic information including your student number. We will include this information with your payment for easy identification of your payment by the University of Wisconsin Stout team.

4. MAKE YOUR PAYMENT
Follow the instructions provided to send your funds to PayMyTuition via your selected payment method.

5. TRACK & CONFIRM
Track your payment by logging into your PayMyTuition Dashboard at any time. Receive SMS texts, email status updates, and confirmations of when your payment has been delivered.

No matter what time zone you are in, you will have a dedicated customer support team available to you through live chat, email and phone to answer any of your questions and help you make your payment. 

Financial Aid
  • If a student is receiving financial aid and it has not been applied to the student's account by the published due date(s), the student is still responsible for the amount due at that time.
  • If payment deadlines are not met, late fees and finance charges will be applied to the student's account.
  • Financial aid from future terms cannot pay retroactively for previous term balances.
  • To see if your aid has not been applied, log in to Access Stout, visit the Student Center page, and check your To Do List.
