We’re excited to welcome you to campus! To make your campus visit stress-free, we’ve put together key information to help you get here and find your way.
Parking Reservation Instructions
- Weekday Parking (Mon-Fri): A parking permit is required. Please reserve your complimentary permit in advance of your visit.
- Weekend Parking (Sat-Sun): Parking is free on weekends in city streets and campus lots—no permit required.
How to Reserve Free Weekday Parking
- Visit UW-Stout’s Parking Reservations webpage. (Do not use the ParkMobile App or you’ll be charged for parking.)
- Under Select Date, enter the date of your campus visit. Make sure the date is correct—an incorrect date could result in a citation.
- Confirm Service Option is set to Standard Auto 1 and click Next.
- Under Access Code, enter the code provided in your visit confirmation email and click update.
- Select the radio button Lot 27 Complimentary Parking.
- Click Add to Cart.
- Under Guest Checkout, click Continue Checkout.
- Enter the required fields:
- Make sure the vehicle information matches the vehicle you’ll bring to campus.
- Enter your license plate without dashes. Incorrect plates result in citations.
- Billing details are required for form completion but you will not be charged. The name entered here does not need to match the person attending the visit.
- Check the Terms & Conditions box.
- Check the I’m not a robot reCAPTCHA box.
- Click Complete Purchase.
- Once processed, your license plate is your permit. No printed pass is needed, but keep your confirmation code just in case.
Parking Locations & Map Links
- Lot #14: There are limited reserved Admissions Visitor Parking stalls in Lot #14 (west side of Sorensen Hall outside the Admissions Office).
- Lot #27: If the Admissions Visitor Parking stalls in Lot #14 are full, park in any unsigned space in Lot #27 (across Broadway Street, next to the General Services building).
Upon Arrival
Park with your license plate visible from the drive lane.
Head to the Admissions Office to check in: 212 Sorensen Hall. Look for the big “S” window decal—that’s our entrance into Sorensen Hall). Enjoy your visit!

From I-94, take Exit 41 and follow Highway 25 S. into Menomonie for about two miles. At the CVS intersection, keep right to stay on Highway 25 S. As you approach campus, you’ll cross Main Street South (WI-29). After the intersection, take your first left into Parking Lot 14.
Once inside Lot 14, take an immediate right—you’ll see Sorensen Hall straight ahead on your left. Reserved Admissions Visitor parking stalls are located on the west side of the building.
If those stalls are full, additional visitor parking is available in Lot 27, directly across Highway 25 (Broadway Street South).
Take WI-29 into Menomonie. As you approach downtown, stay left to remain on WI-29 (Main Street E.). Turn left onto Broadway Street S. (Hwy 25). Take your first left into Parking Lot 14.
Once inside Lot 14, take an immediate right—you’ll see Sorensen Hall straight ahead on your left. Reserved Admissions Visitor parking stalls are located on the west side of the building.
If those stalls are full, additional visitor parking is available in Lot 27, directly across Broadway Street S. (Hwy 25).
Take Highway 25 South into Menomonie. Once within city limits, continue on Highway 25 for about two miles. As you approach campus, you’ll cross Main Street S. (WI-29). After the intersection, take your first left into Parking Lot 14.
Once inside Lot 14, take an immediate right—you’ll see Sorensen Hall straight ahead on your left. Reserved Admissions Visitor parking stalls are located on the west side of Sorensen Hall.
If those stalls are full, additional visitor parking is available in Lot 27, directly across Highway 25 (Broadway St. S.).
Take Highway 25 North into Menomonie. Turn right onto 10th Avenue East, then take the first left into Parking Lot 14.
Once inside Lot 14, follow the parking lot around Sorensen Hall. Reserved Admissions Visitor parking stalls are located on the west side of the building.
If those stalls are full, additional visitor parking is available in Lot 27, directly across Highway 25 (Broadway St. S.).
