First-Year Student Scholarship

Multicultural Affinity Group (MAG) Scholarship - New Incoming Undergraduate Students

This scholarship is available to new incoming undergraduate students who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents, have a minimum 2.75 or higher high school GPA, and demonstrate notable personal achievements and resilience in the face of challenges and leadership through employment, community services, extracurricular activities or other relevant engagement. Students must be first-generation college student, low-income, and/or interested in participating in campus affinity student organization. Completion of FAFSA is required for consideration.

Award Amount: $2,500 
Application Deadline: May 1

Second-Year (and Beyond) Grants & Scholarships

This scholarship is available to returning undergraduate students who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents, have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher, and demonstrate notable personal achievements and resilience in the face of challenges and leadership through employment, community services, extracurricular activities or other relevant engagement. Students must be first-generation college student, low-income, and/or interested in participating in campus affinity student organization. Completion of FAFSA is required for consideration.

Award Amount: $2,500

Graduate Student Grant

Advanced Opportunity Program (AOP) Grant

The Advanced Opportunity Program (AOP) Grant provides financial support to eligible UW-Stout Polytechnic graduate students. Students must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, disadvantaged student (financial need, first-generation college student, or have experienced education, economic and/or societal disadvantages or adversity), admitted to a graduate degree program, pursuing their first post-baccalaureate degree, and enrolled in at least 5 credits per semester. Students must also complete the FAFSA and meet graduate Satisfactory Academic Progress. Awards are subject to available funding.
