Winter 2024 Commencement Ceremonies
Ceremonies will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024, for students who will complete their degree requirements at the end of the Fall 2024 or Winter 2025 terms.
Ceremony Live Streams
All ceremonies will be available to watch via live stream on Saturday, December 14. The live stream for each ceremony will begin automatically at the assigned start time. Click the "Live Stream Information" links below to connect to watch online. All ceremonies are recorded and can be replayed from the same live stream link.
Undergraduate Ceremony | 10:00 a.m.
Information for In-Person Guests

Johnson Field House
220 13th Avenue E
Parking
Parking is available in any lot on campus, except for spots with reserved signs or meters. Lots 4 and 29 are the closest lots to the Johnson Field House. If you park on city streets, please observe signs with parking restrictions. ADA parking is available near the Sports and Fitness Center, please be sure to have your permit visible.
Seating
Each student will receive five tickets. No additional tickets will be available through the Commencement Office. Doors will open 45 minutes before the ceremony. All guests will need a ticket to enter the Field House, children 3 and under do not need a ticket. A remote viewing area is available in the Memorial Student Center on the 2nd floor (Fireside Cafe). The ceremony will also be live streamed.
ADA Requests
Most of the guest seating will be located on the floor level. If you have a guest with accessibility needs, please fill out the ADA request form.
Ceremony Length
Undergraduate ceremonies typically run just under two hours from start to finish.

The live stream for the undergraduate ceremony will begin automatically at 10:00 a.m.
Graduate Ceremony | 2:00 p.m.
For students graduating with a Doctor of Education, Educational Specialist, Professional Science Master, Master of Fine Arts, or Master of Science.

Graduation Fair
Thursday, November 14 from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM, Ballrooms, Memorial Student Center
Join us at UW-Stout's Grad Fair hosted by the Commencement Office.
Take advantage of this great opportunity to take care of all the details relating to Graduation and Commencement!
Pick up tickets to your Commencement Ceremony
Tickets will be available at the MSC, Service Center after the fair. Honor cordons will also be available for pickup (if eligible).
If you are an online student or away on internship, please fill out this form (form will go live one month before the ceremony) to request your tickets be mailed.
Registration and Records
Representatives will be onsite to answer questions about honors status, graduation applications, etc.
Pick up/Purchase your Cap, Gown, and Tassel or Hood
- Herff Jones and Stoutfitters - (if you can't make it to campus, you can call Stoutfitters direct too!)
- Purchase your favorite Insignia apparel
- Order announcements, university rings, etc.
Have your Graduation Portrait taken

Don't worry, visit the Graduation Checklist to view what you need to do in order to be ready to graduate and participate in Commencement.
You can pick up your cap, gown and tassel or hood in the bookstore, Stoutfitters, anytime during their normal business hours or online.
