Sara obtained her Masters of Arts degree in Rehabilitation Counseling with a nationally recognized Certified Rehabilitation Counselor certification (CRC). Sara has worked as a counselor for the Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) since 2016. She has worked in various capacities while at the DOR with both adults and youth with disabilities. She is part of a unique team that serves youth who are at promise. She is currently working with youth who are justice involved, foster youth, LGBTQIA+, housing insecure, mental health and of course youth with disabilities. Sara was appointed by California Governor Newsom as a member of the State Rehabilitation Council to represent DOR. She also serves as a member of the California State University, San Bernardino Rehabilitation Counseling Advisory Board. Sara enjoys giving back to the Rehab Counseling field so she guest lectures in same program she graduated from at California State University, San Bernardino.
