Mail and Package General Information 

Letter mail is placed in your mailbox and accessed with the mailbox key you received at check in.  Mailboxes are located in Price Commons next to the Housing Office for south campus halls and next to the front desk for north campus halls.   

When fall and spring classes are in session packages are delivered to the front desk for pick up unless oversized or a heavier weight.  During break times all packages are distributed from the Housing Office.  You will receive and email when your package is ready for pick up with the location to pick up.

Frequently Asked Questions About Student Mail

My carrier said my package was delivered why can't I pick it up? 

Carriers can at times mark that a package has arrived to Menomonie but not to campus yet. Mail also may be marked as delivered to the Housing mailroom and we may be currently processing the delivery and have not yet logged the package in for pick up.   

My carrier said it was signed for but my package doesn't show as being able to be picked it? 

Staff sign for batches of packages.  This often can be several carts at a time and each individual package is not being signed for but the delivery in general.  Sometimes packages can be listed in a delivery but are not delivered until the next delivery or were not in the delivery.  Other times we may be currently processing the delivery and have not yet logged the package in for pick up.  

My mail is arriving during Fall, Winter or Spring break what happens to it? 

Letter mail will continue to be placed in your mailbox and can be picked up at any time on north campus or when Price Commons is open on south campus. Packages will be able to be picked up at the Housing Office during break periods. If you are away from campus during break, you can pick up your mail when you return from break. 

If I move rooms how will my mail? 

We will update your delivery location and future mail will be forwarded to your new room.  Current packages will still be picked up at past location and newly delivered at your new location pick area.  

I'm not currently living on campus and I accidentally mailed items to my on-campus address, what do I do? 

First, contact your carrier.  Some carriers are able to change your delivery address while in route. Ensure that your mailing address is up to date in Access Stout.  We will use this address to forward any forwardable mail to you. Please note that many package carriers will not forward packages, we will email your Stout email address with directions on how to pick up your package or send us a forwarding label if your carrier offers that option.

View your package log below to see the information that we currently have for your packages. If not listed below, check with your carrier to gather information they have about your package. If you need additional assistance, please submit a package inquiry form, found at the bottom of this page.

  2. The carrier the package was sent through

  4. Please upload a Microsoft Word document that outlines:
    • The nature of your inquiry.
    • When you believe the package should have arrived.
    • What time was in the package and any supporting document including any purchase invoice or shipping confirmation?
