On-Campus Undergraduate Programs
As Wisconsin’s polytechnic university, it is tremendously important to us that you are able to begin your college education this fall. We have been planning for months and are taking critical steps to protect the health and safety of our students, faculty, staff and visitors. We'll be ready for you to be on campus in the fall with a combination of face to face, hybrid and online learning. You can learn more about our efforts on our COVID Planning and Preparedness website.
While there will be many changes when you return to campus this fall, there are essential things that will remain the same: UW-Stout faculty and staff remain committed to providing an exceptional academic experience for our students, ensuring students receive the educational and personal support they need, and fostering community and creative thinking that inspire us to tackle challenges and support one another.
Online Freshman General Education Courses
If you're not quite ready to head off to a college campus this fall, we can help you keep your college education on track with our Fall 2020 Freshman General Education program. Our online general education (Gen Ed) courses are specifically designed for recent high school graduates.
If you're shopping around for online Gen Ed courses make sure you compare apples to apples. Our general education courses are highly transferrable into any of our programs and many other four-year institutions. Often times similar general education courses from technical colleges do not transfer as seamlessly.
Online Undergraduate Programs
If you're committed to living or working away from campus, UW-Stout's customized Instruction (CI) online courses and degree programs are designed with you in mind. As an online CI student, you'll have a dedicated advisor and program director to help you with all aspects of online learning from financial aid to accessing course materials 24/7 on Canvas our online learning environment.
In Canvas, you'll find course materials, participate in course discussions, take tests and quizzes, post assignments, and connect with your professors and classmates. If your path to a college degree needs to be off-campus and online, we're here to help you begin or finish your degree.
